Canadian Ginseng Tofu Bao Buns

A flavourful way to enjoy tofu - perfect for an easy meal-prepped lunch or dinner that your family will love!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Makes: 12 Bao Buns

Ingredients:

2 tbsp Lime Juice
½ cup Sliced Purple Cabbage
12 mini Frozen Bao Buns
1 tbsp Avocado Oil
14 oz extra firm Tofu, sliced into 1/2 inch strips
½ cup Hoisin Sauce
½ tsp Canadian ginseng powder
1 Cucumber, thinly sliced

Directions:

Add lime juice to the sliced cabbage in a bowl; set aside and let marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Steam or heat the bao buns according to the package directions.

Mix the Canadian ginseng powder with the hoisin sauce.

While the bao buns steam, heat a large skillet over medium-heat then add avocado oil and sliced tofu. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side then add the hoisin sauce mixture to the skillet. Using tongs, coat the tofu in the sauce.

Fill the bao buns with the marinated tofu and the prepared veggies. Enjoy!
